Abstract: In situations of economic instability any sector seems to be affected. Tertiary sector was one of the most dynamic sectors of the economy before the economic crisis, reason why we want to see if it follows the same trend even in times of crisis, ie in the period 2007-2010. Thus, we used indicators considered significant in determining its role for the exit from the crisis and for economic development in Romania, whose values are provided by the National Institute of Statistics.
