Abstract:
This article had as starting point the evolution of expenditures for environmental protection in Romania. Evolution of environmental expenditures recorded a general upward trend, with a decrease in 2009, which can b e explained as a result of the economic crisis. The first step was to conduct an overall analysis. This was followed by an analysis by fields and by categories of producers. The processed data were taken from the National Institute of Statistics. An increase of these expenditures, both overall and by categories was observed from the analysis of trends. This increase suggests an improvement in the implementation of environmental objectives in order to ensure a harmonious and long -term transition to a green economy.
