Abstract: Trade and the services sector represent the essential infrastructure necessary for the operation of any national economy, either developed or developing. Currently, ,framing in time and space the role that trade plays in a changing society, acquires a special meaning as a result of changes occurring in the course of some large-scale phenomena, such as integration and globalization. The phenomenon of economic growth and, in particular, the economic development appears inextricably linked, in the modern era, to a complex of structural changes that occur not only in the relations between sectors, but also in each economic sector. Continuous expansion of trade suggests that the growth potential of European economies will depend increasingly more on the competitiveness of trade. In most countries, the development of trade has an important contribution to economic development.
