DYNAMICS ROMANIAN ECONOMY TOWARDS ALIGNMENT AT THE EUROPE 2020 TARGETS

Abstract: The evolution of Romania in Europe 2020 report highlights some disparities in the European Union states: disparities on demographic indicators, disparities in economic development, in attracting foreign direct investment in research and development in the employment, education. The last part of this chapter presents some methodological possibilities for assessing disparities. Evaluation of economic disparities between countries provide important gnosiological support the development of future. By addressing current issues and presenting disparities were identified and proposed solutions to improve the economic situation both national and European level in terms of economic growth, the employment of labor, improving the education system, increasing the share of GDP research and development and reduce environmental impacts, in accordance with the Europe 2020 objectives.
