Abstract: The ability to control production costs, taking into account the qualitative performance of products, is a central objective of an enterprise located in a strong competitive environment. In order to optimize production costs, parametric methods specifically adapted wood processing industry with mass production are applied. Starting from a theoretical approach of parametric methods, it then proceeds to determine the actual costs and results achieved. For a wider perspective, the costs of a product already in production versus costs of a new product the same range are analyzed. The results obtained following the application of parametric methods emphasize the possibility of developing technological manufacturing process, leading indicators of optimizing of production costs.
