Abstract: The modern management of sports organizations necessarily includes between its defining elements, the mission and the vision on the processes, used as an efficient management tool, with a complex role in the development of the specific processes. The mission statement represents the tool of the sports managers whose purpose is to develop the organizational culture in accordance with the philosophy of the sports organization and the vision, regardless of its size. It describes in detail the future image of the sports organization, to which the management and the employees, together, wish, respectively, have to aspire. This has a normative effect, because it highlights a "realistic ideal image", a reference state. It serves as a tool for communicating the vision and mission to interest groups. In accordance with the mission statement and the objectives of the sports organization, it is necessary that those responsible for the managerial management plan their portfolio of activities - which are the object of the existence of the sports organization.”
