Abstract:
During time, the global economy has been the subject to certain events that have drastically changed the attitude of central banks and have had significant effects on the economic environment. This article aims to conduct a literature survey in order to identify the main models used for analyzing the monetary policy transmission. In this regard we found that the largest part of the literature focuses on studying the monetary policy influences in the United State of America or in the European Monetary Union. Therefore, this paper tries to emphasize the most important studies carried out on the East European countries, especially the ones made using the Bayesian VAR analysis for the Romanian economy.
