Abstract: This scientific approach addresses the main challenges and concerns of human resources management, aiming to ensure organizational performance. In an accelerated process of globalization and digital transformation of the economy, human resources management has an essential role to play in order to face these contextual evolutions. Thus, in this paper we aimed to highlight some HRM activities, beyond the traditional ones, which have direct effects on the performance of employees and organizations. It also highlights the new challenges of human resource management and their development prospects at the organizational level. Empowering and developing new HRM activities will have long-lasting beneficial effects on organizations. In this context, the main challenges and concerns of human resources management are highlighted, namely: organizational culture and employee engagement, employee participation and empowerment, diversity and inclusion initiatives, sustainable hrm practices, work-life balance and employee wellbeing etc.
