Abstract:
In the context of an increasingly complex economy, financial literacy has become a source of strategies for entrepreneurs who want to correctly and efficiently manage risks in the businesses they run. The research investigates the one-factor effect of financial literacy on the ability of entrepreneurs to manage risks in an environment of inflation, socio-political instability, rapidly developing digital technologies and a constantly competitive market. Based on a survey of trainee accountants enrolled in the CECCAR 2024-2027 program, the study compares entrepreneurs with high levels of financial literacy with those with little or no financial literacy. The results show a significant correlation between the level of financial literacy and decision-making ability. The findings support the integration of financial education into entrepreneurial development policies and emphasize the need for accessible and practice-oriented financial literacy programs in the Romanian business ecosystem.
