Abstract: The evolution of technologies based on artificial intelligence (AI) has led to the development of innovative solutions to help organisations manage processes. These technologies include Large Language Models (LLMs), simpler models such as ChatGPT and more complex models such as AI Agents. They are used to perform tasks automatically, with the ability to learn from data and ultimately generate relevant answers to questions. In this study, the evolution of LLMs and their impact on the financial and economic activities are analyzed. The scientific literature, as well as research published by different organisations on AI-based solutions, are reviewed. It has been demonstrated that LLMs make a significant contribution to the processes of entities in the financial and economic sector, helping to achieve more efficient results. Starting from this theoretical study, more elaborate ideas can be outlined about this expanding field.
