Abstract:
The Treaty of Lisbon, become valid on December 1st 2009, promotes a series of new things regarding the external and common security policy, establishing a series of new directions in the external action of the European Union. The rules included in the consolidated version, of the Treaty regarding the European Union (TUE) and as well in the Treaty regarding the Functioning of the European Union (TFUE) are the proof of the plain concordance between the dispositions of external policy of the Union and the fundamental principles of General International Law.
