Outlines of global transformations: politics, economics, law, 2014, vol. 7, issue 4

Abstract: The role of Siberia is always evaluated by its contribution to the state treasury that is provided by the raw material industry of the Siberian economy. The given approach was only strengthened in the XX century as a result of execution of regional transport and energy superprojects that allow creating a material basis for the formation of clusters. The significance of these projects will be preserved in the XXI century. Analysis of the present state of infrastructure, manufacturing, agriculture, innovative engineering, ecology, demography, living standards of the unique region allowed the author to identify different courses for the diversification of production in the region and to justify the idea of the Siberia development as a region’s arrangement of the Russia’s strategic territorial.
