On the question of methodology of geo-ecological zoning

Abstract: The author explores the methodology of complex geo-ecological zoning aimed at identification of the isolation regions with similar trajectories of development of relations in the system «nature and society». The author analyzes the uniqueness of the concept of geo-ecological zoning, involving the allocation of total areas or areas-kompazhey. The author substantiates the role of factors influencing the formation of the regions, suggests the relationship among different types of factors in the formation of regions in different historical and geographical contexts. The article contains proposals to correct the types of regions in accordance with the proposed approach.
