Protestant theology of liberation

G. G. Khachatryan ()

Outlines of global transformations: politics, economics, law, 2015, vol. 8, issue 4

Abstract: The article discusses three areas of liberation theology: black theology in the USA, black theology in South Africa and theology of Minjun in Korea. They appeared under the influence of Latin American theology in the 1960-1970s, but in different context and with different perspectives. The characteristic feature of these areas is the inclusion of national/ethnic/racial discourse in the universal Christian concept. These areas that emerged in the middle of the last century are still actively developing and offering the new perspective on Christianity - socially active Christianity.
