Abstract: The article considers the environmental aspects of the implementation of resource and infrastructure projects in Mongolia in a transboundary context. The author identifies potential problems of Russian-Mongolian relations in the sphere of joint use of water resources. The author analyzes current state and prospects of economic cooperation between Russia and Mongolia. The author puts forward proposals for the development of strategic partnership in the context of transboundary water protection in the basin of Lake Baikal.
