Abstract:
Global sustainable development is based on sustainable communities, being a process of citizen's major involvement in the local decisions. This is why it is crucial to design and implement a Local Agenda 21 program, in each community. Bucharest, as all other Romanian localities, needs a very well designed plan for its future development, based on the local necessities and harmonized with the national and international tendencies. Such a plan has to be worked out for the local inhabitans, involving them in the decision process and, also, by ensuring their protection against any type of aggression.
