Abstract: The research had as objective the assessment of extraction and energy industries' actual condition, the prospects of their development, and the strategic co-ordinates of actions meant to put in practice these prospects. For each sector tackled in the study (non-ferrous ores extraction, coal mining and preparation, oil and natural gas extraction, radioactive ores extraction and preparation, energy sector) are set forth the conclusions of their analysis, the opportunities and menaces influencing their future development, and the most appropriate directions of actions intended to materialize the development objectives.
