Abstract: The main objective of the survey was to stand out the co-ordinates on future mid-term evolution of industry as a whole, of its sectors and at the level of development regions. The co-ordinates consist in turning to good account location advantages, in intensifying intangible investments in Research & Development, innovation and human capital, in increasing sectors', firms' and industrial products' competitiveness by progressive orientation towards highly processed products and high added value.
