Abstract: Mobility within the urban area is a major component of life quality in the respective area and an important issue that many cities are facing with as they grow and their transportation facilies become congested. A number of methods currently in use, reflecting the progress in traffic flow theory and the practice of the last thirty years, can effectively evaluate the changes in the performance of a crossroad or a trunk. But a dilemma is created when these individual components, connected to form the traffic network, are collectively dealt with.
