Abstract: The Romania's industrial policy official document, which was hardly enforced after a great delay only in 2002, sets up the co-ordinates of industry's and industrial sectors' future evolution. In this context, the possible evolution of manufacturing industry's sectors will be foreshadowed in a series of articles. In this paper, the chemical industry, that of the synthetic and artificial fibers, of chemical fertilizers, of medicines and pharmaceutical products, as well as of other nonmetallic material products, will be tackled.
