Abstract:
The paper offers an analysis of the Romanian electricity market, made on the basis of the framework proposed by Michael Porter regarding the forces determining competitiveness in various activity fields. The authors have taken into consideration the following: the threats represented by the new entrants, the purchasers' negotiating power, the electricity distributors and suppliers' negotiating power and the rivalry intensity between the economic agents on the electricity market.
