Abstract:
The Romanian transport infrastructures' modernization and development represent a prioritary objective in the perspective of Romania's integration in the European Union. To align to the European requirements in the transportation field means not only to implement the European legislation in the field, but to attain certain technico-economic parameters which shall bring the transport infrastructure up to the European level. The Romanian transport infrastructures' development up to the level of the EU Member States represents a major challenge for the national economy in the next years.How far is the Romanian infrastructure prepared in the inland navigation and maritime transportation field ? This is the question we shall try to answer to in the framework of this article.
