Abstract: This paper analyses whether reciprocal covenant organisations belong to the denominated group of companies of participation. For this purpose a brief description of both concepts is given and later an analysis is made to see whether in the afore mentioned companies the partners take an active role in management or not. With this objective in mind, the partners’ activity is studied taking into account the following criteria: The decision making process, the flow of information, the productive process and also the economical and financial flows. To this end, statistical data taken from reciprocal covenant organisations has been used to support this conclusion.
