Canadian Journal of Economics, 1997, vol. 30, issue 2, 404-12
Abstract:
In contrast to the literature that deals with specific repatriation rule, in this note the general condition under which tariff-induced capital inflow/outflow will increase/reduce the welfare of a small tariff-ridden economy is investigated. The derivation is simple and the results obtained embrace all repatriation rules.
