Abstract: Nowadays the market of postal services faces a period of reconfiguration due to the process of liberalization. The changes that come along with this process are affecting providers and public regulatory authorities. Based on a documentary research, this paper presents the results of an analysis made on the EU28’s postal services’ markets, with a special emphasis on the liberalization of those markets. The second part represents an economic analysis of postal services’ coordinates and highlights the main considerations about the universal postal service, from the competition point of view.
