Abstract: This study aims to present an econometric analysis that shows the interdependence between the turnover and the net profit, being achieved by a number of 65 companies operating in the IT industry from all regions of Romania. To achieve the objectives, the research aims to analyze the dynamic (quarterly) relationship between turnover and net profit in the IT sector. The usefulness of this research follows the ever-increasing evolution of this new industry, which, from year to year, succeeds to impose itself in the service sector in Romania, exceeding the established sectors in the GDP.
