Abstract:
Risk research has developed considerably over the past century, and risk management is still a huge challenge facing all organizations today. This evolution has generally progressed from a narrow focus on risk transfer, to extensive organizational expertise to minimize losses, and more recently to enterprise-wide risk management using a holistic approach. Technological advances influence business environments permanently, increasing the need to re-perspective occupational risks beyond the normative dimensional construction. A workplace is never isolated and therefore in the work environment employees experience both psychological and social risks. The evaluation of the work environment must be a dynamic component in studies related to the safety and health of workers today.
