Diferenciales de ingreso por el color de la piel y desigualdad de oportunidades en Colombia

Abstract: This article attempts to isolate the effects of intergenerational transmission of schooling from the racial discrimination effects on income differentials according to skin color in Colombia. For this proposal, it is used the sample of the enh of December of 2000. Income equations were estimated by Two Stage Least Square Model (2sls) and microsimulations were made. The results reveal that a non-negligible part of the component of income differentials is explained by the intergenerational transmission of inequalities due to skin color in Colombia.
