Educación, empleo e ingresos en el muncipio de Tumaco 2015

Abstract: La educación es la base que le da soporte al crecimiento y desarrollo económico de un país; guarda una relación muy estrecha con el empleo y los ingresos de los individuos. La presente investigación contrasta el cumplimiento de esta relación para el municipio de Tumaco (Narino - Colombia) y, con datos de 240 individuos, para el ano 2015. Aplicando el modelo de Mincer, corregido por Heckman, se pudo establecer que un ano adicional de educación aumenta aproximadamente en 13,3 % el ingreso de los tumaquenos; así mismo, mediante descomposición de Oaxaca-Blinder, se pudo determinar que ser profesional graduado incrementa en 67,2 % el ingreso, y en 49,7 % la probabilidad de encontrar empleo en dicho municipio. ******* Education is the foundation that supports the growth and economic development of a country; keeps a close relationship with the employment and incomes of individuals. This paper contrasts the fulfillment of this relationship for the municipality of Tumaco (Narino), and with data from 240 individuals by the year 2015. The Mincer fixed Heckman model, it was established that an extra year of schooling increases approximately 13,3 % the income of the tumaquenos; likewise, through Oaxaca-Blinder decomposition, it was determined that being a professional graduate increases by 67,2% income and by 49,7% the probability of finding employment in this municipality
