Nivel de Implementación de la Guía de Responsabilidad Social ISO 26000 en Pequenas Empresas del Sector Metalmecánico de Caldas

Abstract: Resumen La guía internacional ISO 26000 brinda lineamientos para integrar la Responsabilidad Social Em‑ presarial (RSE), establecer estrategias de gestión y buenas prácticas, considerando los impactos en los stakeholders, la sociedad y el medio ambiente. Evaluar el nivel de implementación de esta guía en pequenas empresas del sector metalmecánico del departamento de Caldas, Colombia, fue el objetivo del presente estudio. Para su realización, se efectuó una investigación de tipo descriptivo, basada en la información reportada por la gerencia, mediante la técnica de encuesta estructurada. Como resultado, se detectaron niveles altos de incorporación de los principios y materias funda‑ mentales de RSE; sin embargo, se evidencian brechas en la integración de la RSE, las estrategias de comunicación y el involucramiento con las partes interesadas. Abstract The international standard ISO 26000 provides guidelines for integrating Corporate Social Responsi‑ bility, CSR, and establishing management strategies and best practices, by taking into consideration the impact on stakeholders, society, and environment. The objective of this study was to evaluate the implementation level of this standard in small-sized companies that belong to the metal mechanic industry in the Department of Caldas, Colombia. A descriptive research based on information reported by managers using a structured survey is performed. High levels of inclusion of the CSR principles and core subjects were detected. However, gaps were evident in the integration of CSR throughout the organization, in communication strategies and engagement with stakeholders.
