Abstract: RESUMENEn el análisis económico se deben contemplar variables que generan un fuerte impacto en la coyuntura nacional y los mercados financieros. Dentro de las variables que generan este efecto se deben tener en cuenta las reguladas por el Banco Central de un país.En Colombia, el Banco de la República tiene un peso importante en los aspectos macroeconómicos; dentro de sus cifras se pueden ver aspectos que se constituyen en síntomas básicos para poder dar un diagnóstico adecuado de la situación económica nacional, en especial en su papel de base del sistema monetario, centro del sistema financiero, y reguladordel mercado cambiario.En este sentido, el propósito de este trabajo es analizar cómo la Base Monetaria, con sus respectivos componentes, efectivo y reservas bancarias pueden llegar a afectar el entorno económico.ABSTRACTIn the economic analysis should consider variables that have a strong impact on national circumstances and financial markets, among the variables that generate this effect must be taken into account regulated by the Central Bank of a country.In Colombia, the Bank of the Republic has a major influence on the macroeconomic, in their figures can be seen in aspects that are core symptoms in order to give a proper diagnosis of the national economic situation, especially in its basic role of monetary system, the center of the financial system and exchange regulations.In this sense, the purpose of this paper is to analyze how the monetary base, with their respective components, cash and bank reserves can affect the economic environment.
