Abstract: RESUMENEl concepto conocido como generación distribuida" (GD) ha cambiado considerablemente las nuevas concepciones de transmisión y distribución de electricidad al acercar las plantas de generación al usuario final, reduciendo la inversión inicial y la infraestructura necesaria para laentrega de la energía además de disminuir las perdidas en las redes.La generación distribuida, es una manera de producir energía eléctrica, minimiza las pérdidas debidas al transporte, incrementa la eficiencia, aumenta la confiabilidad del sistema, optimiza el uso de los recursos, disminuye lacontaminación ambiental y reduce el tamano de las plantas.Todo esto, hace posible que se pueda llevar energía eléctrica de bajo costo a los habitantes de regiones remotas que no forman parte del sistema eléctrico interconectado (Democratización de la energía). ABSTRACTThe well-known concept: "distributed generation" (DG) it has changed considerably the electricity transmission and distribution concepts bringing near the generation plants to the final user, reducing the initial investment and the necessary infrastructure for the delivery of the energy alsodiminishing the electric losses in the nets. Distributed generation is a way of producing energy, minimizing transport losses and enhancing energy efficiency, enhancing system trufully, optimize the use of the resources,reduce environment contamination and reduce the size of the generation plants.All of this, make possible carry out cheap electric energy, faraway inhabitants wich are not of the electric net system (Energy democratization)."
