Abstract:
The objective of this study is to analyze and compare the academic and training projections of the programs offered by the military training schools ENAP and ESMIC during the 2017-2023 period. Statistical data on the academic offerings, institutional accreditations, and cooperation networks of the 'General José María Córdova' Military Cadet School (ESMIC) and the 'Almirante Padilla' Naval Cadet School (ENAP) were collected through a document review and organized in Excel for subsequent analysis. The results showed that ESMIC recruited 107 international students, compared to only 12 for ENAP, demonstrating a significant gap. The research attributed this difference to the greater diversity of ESMIC's academic programs compared to ENAP's naval specializations. Likewise, determining factors were identified as the existence of agreements with institutions in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, and the implementation of bilingual modules and intensive Spanish and English courses to reduce the language barrier. It was evident that curricular diversification, timely accreditation, and strong international partnerships boost the internationalization of Colombian military academies, suggesting the need to strengthen these components to improve the recruitment of foreign students.
