Abstract: The paper presents the essence of enterprises’ readiness to undertake strategic counteractions and its meaning in a struggle with the crisis. There has been describe the elements that are most important for this idea, that is the potential of strategic actions and the potential of enterprises’ strategic activity. The author indicates that the level of this elements is fundamental to solve the crisis situation and that it determines their possible improvement.
