Migration and the metropolis–an example of Lower Silesia

Abstract: The article addresses the issue of metropolisation of space and the phenomenon of migration. The article compares the demographic potential of the leading centers of Lower Silesia. The change of the administrative divisions – merge provinces of Jelenia Gora, Walbrzych, Legnica and Wroclaw into Lower Silesia – stressed the importance of Wroclaw as a leading urban center in Lower Silesia.
