Claude-Henri de Saint-Simon, Industrialism and Bankers
Franck Yonnet ()
Cahiers d’économie politique / Papers in Political Economy, 2004, issue 46, 147-174
Saint-Simon's political scheme is structured by the following problematic: banking organises society. But banking functions are different in the former "metaphysical and feudal system" and in the new "scientific and industrial system". This change is a clue which enables to redefme Saint-Simon's "industrialism": a centralised corporatism describes a non monetary economy which differs from traditional institutions.
