Abstract: This article endeavors to rework the foundations of political and social justice based on a new concept of justice, namely justice understood as an exchange. The author critically reviews the most important classical concepts, such as those of Aristotle, Hobbes and Kant, and modern authors like Rawls, Hayek and Nozick.
