E-Forum Working Papers, 2020, vol. 10, issue 3, 84-88

Abstract: The article outlines the possibility of using mentoring to stimulate company employees in the process of motivation, encouraging employees of the company and its managers to achieve personal and business goals. To this end, several tasks have been identified and solved: defining mentoring in managerial activity at the enterprise as a method of training and development of employees, during which a more experienced employee (mentor, mentor) for some time shares knowledge with colleagues (cops); the distinction between mentoring and coaching is clarified, which consists in the fact that in the process of mentoring they solve more complex management tasks and in the possibility of mentoring activities among coaches; companies are determined by the advantages (individual training at work, intangible incentives, personal development of employees, the possibility of feedback) and disadvantages (subjectivity, duration, the need to ensure appropriate organizational conditions, etc.). Mentoring involves the partnership and the mentor's belief in the potential and resources of the mentee. By providing advice, the mentor shares his / her experience and at the same time does not make ready decisions and does not teach. The task of the mentor is to perceive the cops with attention to the current situation, the past and plans for the future. This process requires a holistic approach. Cops and mentors are equal, they respect each other's opinions, do not condemn them. The mentor adapts to the needs of the mentee and focuses on important issues. The mentor does not have to share all his knowledge and tools, he chooses what is needed in this situation. The main tools of the mentor are coaching methods, first-time questions, and counseling. At the same time, a mentor is a much larger partner than a coach because it uses the potential of both parties. In this case, the mentor's knowledge and experience is an important source of learning in those areas that the mentor has identified as important for their learning and development. The mentoring process should be considered in the long term, as it is the key to the comprehensive development of the mentee's personality, which will affect his self-realization not only here and now, but also in the future
