Abstract:
The article investigates the problems and prospects of spatial expansion of the functions of transport infrastructure of the European Union, analyzes the evolution of the transport policy of the regional group for the last decades. It has been shown that, unlike previous phases, the latest intensive EU enlargement is aimed at achieving integrated spatial and transport development, which will increase the mobility of labor resources, goods and services in the region. It is noted that European transport corridors have long been helping to form the basis of the territorial cohesion of the EU states
