Abstract: An analysis of the current state of small and medium business development in Ukraine, the international image of the country and its place in the international business environment is made. The essence of support is determined small and medium-sized business and formed its priority components. The features of the state policy supporting the development of small business in Ukraine and European countries are revealed, and the positive experience that can be implemented in Ukraine is highlighted
