Rethinking the 20-Year Debate on Theoretical Contextualization in MOR

Abstract: The debate on theoretical contextualization began with a dual focus on the context-embedded approach and the context-specific approach. In my view, over the past 20 years, the focus of the discussion has shifted from developing indigenous management theories toward how the Chinese context offers fertile ground for developing novel theories with global relevance.
