Abstract: The study explores the dynamics of gender and cooperativism in the field of coffee farms, examining the experiences of both women and men. The collective challenges faced by these groups are addressed, presenting them through interconnected categories. Additionally, guidelines are suggested to mitigate gender disparities within cooperatives, recognizing that historical patriarchal structures and cultural transformations can persist over generations; However, the essential thing is to establish a starting point. The methodology used is Research-Action-Participation (IAP), which allowed a deep understanding of the coffee reality from a gender perspective and promoted processes of change in sociocultural practices linked to coffee. The plurality of perspectives within each community contributed to revitalizing the sense of the collective in cooperativism, underscoring its importance in strengthening the autonomy of coffee growing women. The principles and values that define cooperativism represent both strengths and challenges. The interventions carried out, which include training, documentation of good practices and the application of PAR, have created a favorable environment for the adoption of innovative approaches that promote gender equity.
