Abstract:
This study has proposed a teacher training plan in playful strategies to strengthen reading at Maritza Mena Primary School, motivated by the need to improve reading learning among primary school students. It has been developed under a quantitative approach, framed in the positivist paradigm, and following the feasible project modality with a field design. The sample consisted of 15 intentionally selected teachers, who were surveyed using a 12-item dichotomous questionnaire (yes/no). The validity of the instrument was assessed by experts, and its reliability was measured using the Kuder Richardson coefficient (0.66). The results revealed that the teachers recognize the potential of playful strategies to promote reading learning but lack the necessary knowledge on how to use them effectively in the classroom. In response, a training proposal was designed to improve teachers' abilities to integrate playful strategies that motivate students, foster attention and creativity, and adapt to learning styles. The conclusion highlights the importance of implementing this training plan to optimize the reading teaching process.
