Abstract: Context: the visibility of scientific research is a key factor for the positioning of authors and institutions. Objective: to design a training plan to increase scientific visibility in the social and academic networks of the school community of the Universidad Técnica de Manabí. Method: the research was framed in an applied approach. A qualitative approach was adopted aimed at proposing a solution to the manifestation of the problem. The design was non-experimental. The methods used were analytical-synthetic, systemic-structural and classic documentary analysis oriented to published scientific literature and the presence in social and academic networks of the @utm domain. Results: a training plan was designed to increase scientific visibility in the social and academic networks of the school community of the Technical University of Manabí. Likewise, it was particularized in the 12 scientific journals that this institution has and that, given the function they perform, deserve special treatment. Conclusions: the visibility of scientific findings is crucial to promote collaboration and recognition of researchers. Institutions must adopt effective communication and dissemination strategies so that knowledge does not remain only in the academic field. The implementation of a training plan that strengthens skills in these tools through workshops and seminars could result in a significant improvement in the dissemination and exchange of knowledge at the Universidad Técnica de Manabí.
