Abstract:
The Caminos Kilómetro 11 ecological trail, located in the Eastern Forest Reserve of Bogotá, faces increasing socio-environmental impacts from unregulated hiking activities. This study applied systemic analysis tools such as the DPSIR model, the Conesa Matrix, and the Vester Matrix to identify the main pressures on the area's ecological components. The results show moderate impacts on the soil, water resources, and local fauna, including species displacement, soil compaction, and pollution from waste. Despite being located in an ecological restoration zone, the trail lacks comprehensive management that engages visitors, communities, and institutions. The study concludes that the trail's sustainability requires urgent interventions in environmental education, participatory governance, and ecological monitoring. It proposes a roadmap for the trail's conservation as a functional biological corridor and a space for responsible recreation.
