Revista Multidisciplinaria Voces de América y el Caribe, 2025, vol. 2, 39-56

Abstract: This article will address the role of virtual platforms as complementary tools in the educational process, analyzing their capacity to enrich traditional teaching. Given the need to adapt face-to-face education to digital formats, the tools used, the accessibility of students, and the effectiveness of online learning were evaluated. It is a descriptive study, under a qualitative approach, with a sample sample of 475 enrolled students, 4 coordinators of academic areas of Administrative Sciences and Computer Science; 67 teachers and academic secretary, from URACCAN Bluefields campus, year 2023. The analysis was developed with emphasis on the use of the virtual platform as a complement to the learning process; the arguments in response to surveys directed at students and teachers; and interviews focused on academic authorities. It is concluded that the results maintain that the use of the virtual platform offers a series of advantages in supporting face-to-face teaching that improve the results that can be obtained through traditional educational methods; However, the usefulness of this resource is minimal; It is only used to upload reading material documents or assign essay writing; This may be because the level of institutional demand on the part of the authorities is imperceptible; Therefore, the need to strengthen teacher training and improve technological infrastructure is suggested to guarantee quality education in the future.
