Space of the Northern Sea Route: ecology and safety

Abstract: Today the Northern Sea Route is an international trade route, a space for the movement of freight traffic between the markets of the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. The growth of traffic along the Northern Sea Route is associated, among other things, with climate change and global warming, which has been going on for several decades. Researchers note the possible negative and positive consequences of the global warming process for the economy and the environment. Russia plays a leading role in ensuring the security of the Northern Sea Route and reliable and effective control over sea spaces and coastlines.
