Abstract: The article considers in detail the process of making managerial decisions, presents their classification according to various criteria, highlights the characteristic features of decisions and the stages of their implementation. The main attention is paid to personnel decisions. An example of the practical application of SWOT–analysis for making a decision on the selection of engineers of the highest category at a particular shipbuilding enterprise is given.
