The mechanism of using distributed ledger technology by payment systems: advantages and disadvantages

Abstract: In this article, the author considers the role of distributed registries in improving the modern payment system. The essence of the distributed ledger mechanism is analyzed. The advantages and disadvantages of using distributed registries in the development and implementation of payment systems are identified.
