Abstract: The article considers a topical issue, to date, on improving the mechanism of granting of interbudgetary transfers to budgets of subjects of the Russian Federation. Emphasis on the need to improve the efficiency of interbudgetary transfers through the transition to the consolidation of target interbudgetary transfers and the use of block transfers.
